Phoebe is an Ancient and Modern History undergraduate at Somerville College, and the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Historical Review. Having previously written for various publications such as the Oxford Student and the Alexandrian Classics Journal, she wishes to pursue writing as a career one day. She founded the Historical Review in the hopes of creating an inclusive and exciting space for anyone with an interest in history to explore their interests outside of an academic setting. By exploring modern day issues and searching for their solutions in history, she hopes to show even those who did not have a previous interest in this subject to realise history’s continued relevance in our everyday lives. In the long term, she hopes this magazine will circulated outside of Oxford too, such as via access officers, to be shared with high school students. Already she is incredibly blessed to be working with a fantastic, enthusiastic and inspirational team, and looks forward to growing the magazine with them.
